X blocks searches for Georgia school shooter Colt Gray
Suspected Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray’s name has been blocked from X’s search function in the wake of the massacre.
Users attempting to look for the 14-year-old’s name on the social media site are being met with an error message which reads, ‘Something went wrong. Try reloading’.
A message at the bottom of the screen adds: ‘Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault.’

It is unclear at this time if the action is deliberate or a glitch.
Elon Musk‘s platform has previously blocked users from searching Taylor Swift‘s name in a bid to clamp down on sexually explicit deepfakes of the star.
He has yet to comment on the situation. DailyMail.com has contacted X for comment.
Colt is the main suspect in Wednesday’s mass shooting but police are yet to release his booking photo.
The rampage claimed the lives of four people and injured almost a dozen others.

Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 and teachers Christina Irimie, 53, and Richard Aspinwall, 39, were named as the victims.
The horror unfolded in Winder, Georgia and saw at least nine other people taken to hospital for gunshot wounds.
The shooting was reported at 10.23am – and Gray surrendered to police when he was apprehended.
Officials said an AR-style weapon was used in the shooting, but it is unclear who it belonged to.
It has since emerged that the FBI visited Gray’s home last year and interviewed him alongside his dad after receiving anonymous tips about threats made against the school.
Upon arrival, Gray’s father confirmed he keeps hunting guns in the family home.

However, no arrests were made after Gray assured the authorities he was not responsible for the threats and had no unsupervised access to guns.
The only action taken was to alert Jackson County schools to continue monitoring.
Questions also remain over how the gunman was able to enter the school campus carrying the weapon.
